When Time Warner Cable Sports secured the Los Angeles Lakers broadcast rights from Fox Sports, the company faced an enormous challenge: build an entirely new sports network from the ground up and launch it in time for the NBA season.

As Creative Director, I was brought in to build and lead the creative department responsible for defining the visual identity of the network.
I assembled and managed a multidisciplinary team of designers, animators, editors, and creative partners who developed every visual touchpoint across the network — from live game broadcasts and studio programming to original series, promotions, marketing campaigns, and broadcast graphics.

Every package, animation, show open, graphic system, and promotional campaign had to be designed, produced, tested, and delivered under an aggressive timeline while maintaining a consistent creative vision across dozens of programs.

The result was a successful network launch that became fully distributed across every major cable provider in less than three weeks.
The creative systems we developed established the visual foundation for live Lakers broadcasts, studio shows, and original programming while supporting one of the most anticipated regional sports network launches in the country.

Our work was recognized with three Emmy Awards for Best Art Direction, honoring the creative excellence and collaborative effort required to successfully launch and establish the network.
